What makes Leadax Original unique?
Leadax Original is a circular lead replacement, produced from recycled polyvinyl butyral (PVB); the safety film in laminated glass such as car windows. Unlike traditional lead, it contains no heavy metals and has no negative effects on health or the environment.
The product has a minimum lifespan of 30 years and is fully recyclable. After use, the raw materials are reused in new products, eliminating the need for virgin resources.
Thanks to its light weight and roll lengths of up to 12 meters, Leadax Original is significantly faster and easier to install than traditional waterproofing products. Overlaps are minimized, meaning less material is required and processing is more efficient. This not only improves ergonomics for the installer but also lowers overall project costs.
Common applications
- Leadax Original can be used as a water barrier in (cavity) walls and under casings.
- At the intersection between chimney bases and roof tiles.
- At chimney flashings to provide a water barrier.
- Leadax Original can be applied to the base of dormers and skylights as a waterproofing layer.
- As a watertight connection between an outside wall and an extension. Use Leadax masonry clips to attach Leadax Original to masonry joints.
- Leadax Original can be used as valley gutters and waterproofing on the ridges of (tiled) roofs.
