Leadax Original combines the familiar look and feel of lead sheet with a lightweight, flexible material made using recycled PVB. Shape and dress it using techniques you already know. Create watertight connections on and around the roof with lead-free flashing designed for everyday work.
Six-metre rolls let you complete longer runs in one piece. Fewer overlaps mean fewer installation steps and less material used at each joint.
Leadax Original is lead-free and weighs 3.85 kg/m². Its low weight makes it easy to lift, carry and shape into place.
We use recycled PVB from laminated safety glass as a raw material. This gives an existing material stream a new purpose in construction.
Leadax Original is suitable for Code 5 lead sheet applications, creating water barriers in cavity walls and above and below window frames, as well as watertight connections around chimneys, dormers, roof windows, extensions, valleys and ridges. It is also suitable for detailing around in-roof solar panels, heat pumps and roof penetrations.

Leadax Original uses familiar installation techniques, yet weighs considerably less than traditional lead sheet. Rolls up to six metres long reduce overlaps and help save time and material.

Leadax Original has been assessed by KIWA and BBA and has an expected service life of at least 30 years. Refer to the product documentation for conditions and scope of use.
Install above 5 °C on a dry substrate free from dust and grease. Form 80 mm overlaps using Leadax High-Tack sealant or hot air, and seal joints and edges carefully. Use Leadax High-Tack Sealant, to secure Original to underlying roofing materials.
