SUSTAINABILITY AT LEADAX

Rethink waste.
Build with possibility.

The story of a roofing material can begin long before it reaches a roof.

At Leadax, recycled PVB from safety glass becomes a raw material for waterproofing. A new use for a resource that still has value.

A MATERIAL WITH MORE TO GIVE

From safety glass
to building materials.

Polyvinyl butyral — PVB — is the strong plastic interlayer used in laminated safety glass, including windscreens and building glass.

When that glass reaches the end of its use, the PVB can still be valuable. Leadax uses recycled PVB in its products, giving this material a new role in waterproofing.

THINKING BEYOND A SINGLE USE

The journey we design for.

01

Recover

PVB is recovered from safety glass waste.

02

Transform

Recycled PVB becomes a raw material for Leadax waterproofing products.

03

Use

The material performs a new role in roof and wall details.

04

Recover again

Products are designed so their materials can be recycled into new Leadax products.

Planning an end-of-life route? Speak to Leadax about collection and recycling options for your project. Recovery depends on how materials are removed, separated and collected.

LOOKING AT HOW WE MAKE

The factory is part
of the story.

Material choice is one part of the picture. Leadax’s production facility is also equipped with more than 1,500 solar panels.

We keep looking for ways to improve our products and the way they are made. Sustainability is an ongoing responsibility, from development through to the next use.
